Girl Scouts thank donors for support

-A A +A

Carroll County Girl Scout Daisy Troop 337 would like to thank Kroger and Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana for helping  us support First Lady Beshear’s Shop and Share event this weekend by helping us take donations for the Domestic Violence Awareness Shelters of Kentucky.  Our Daisy Girls experienced first hand what a wonderful, giving community that they live in, and how very important it is to give to people in need.

To the individuals that were shopping in Kroger on Saturday, you are wonderful, compassionate human beings and your donations will not go unnoticed. The people receiving your donations are very grateful, as are we.

Within a few hours we were able to collect three full grocery carts of much needed toiletries and non-perishable items and were able to start another cart before we left at 12:30 p.m., so hopefully by the time the representative from Girl Scouts came to pick it up, the fourth cart was full as well.

Again, a special thank you to the representatives of our local Kroger, for letting us take part in this special event, to Mr. Royce and Samantha (Kroger), you two especially were very pleasant to work with in correlating this. To the parents of our troop and the girls that came out, we are grateful that you all see the need and feel as compassionate as we do about this. We cannot say enough how appreciative we are to each and every one of you. Without you all this would not be possible.

Thanks to all who participated in making this successful.
