Former member of A 2/138th FA of Carrollton, Ky., Jeff Morris worked with the commander and full-time staff of A 2/138th to design a t-shirt for the unit to wear on their upcoming deployment to Africa. The unit’s call sign is “Alpha Animals,” which is represented in the design as the rider. The design was printed by Carrollton’s Fillin’ The Blank, which donated a t-shirt to every soldier in the unit, as well as made shirts available to their families and friends at a discounted rate. This way, they could show their support for their soldiers while they are away. The soldiers received their shirts at the going-away ceremony Sept. 1. Standing with them and holding the t-shirts are Sgt. Terry Flannery and Sgt. Anthony Longo.
