The city of Prestonville recently broke ground for a new recreation center with help from Carroll County Fiscal Court and Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson, in the form of a $20,000 recreation grant. The city is still in need of funding to complete the recreation center, but is going to build as much as possible with the funding available. The city is requesting donations to finish the construction, and is seeking donations of games, computers and equipment for a music center and supplies for afterschool activities.
