Henry Michael Robak, 73, Madison, Ind. died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover, Ind.
Born July 15, 1935 in Sturgeon, Penna., he was the son of Alexander and Cecilia Robak. He attended school in Sturgeon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, rising to the rank of Airman First Class during the Korean War. He had resided in Jefferson County, Ind. since 1961 and was employed for 24 years at Reliance Electric Company. He was raised in the Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion Jefferson Post 9. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
Survivors include five sons, Mike (Angie) Robak, John (Christy) Robak and David Robak, all of Madison, Ind., Cecil (Ellen) Robak, Milton, Joe (Katrina), Lexington, Ind.; three brothers, John Robak, Alex Robak, Jr. and Robert Robak, all of Sturgeon; two sisters, Frannie Switzer and Donna Jean Kapolka, both of Sturgeon; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; companion, Diane Brooks, Madison, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
His parents, one son, Bruce Maurice Robak, on April 8, 2008; sisters, Mary, Agnes and Ruthie and a brother, Joe, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Ind. with Pastor Bob Leach will officiating. Burial will be in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison with full military honors conducted in the chapel by American Legion Jefferson Post 9.
