WILDER, Ky. – James “Jim” Howard Nolan, 82, of Wilder, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas, Ky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 3, at St. Therese Church, Southgate, Ky., with the Rev. Clarence Heitzman officiating. Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, Ky.
Mr. Nolan was born June 18, 1926, in Covington, Ky. to the late Irma (Leising) and Howard James Nolan.
He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church where he volunteered as a Eucharistic minister and belonged to the Holy Name Society. He was a past member of the Newport Elks No. 273.
He was a pipe-fitter and as a young apprentice worked on Carroll County Memorial Hospital when it was being built in the early 1950s.
Survivors include his wife Joan Rowlette Nolan; a daughter, Kathleen Goodrich of Port St. Lucie, Fla; a son, Michael Nolan of California, Ky.; a step-daughter, Michele Wesselman of Highland Heights, Ky.; three step-sons, Brian Rowlette of Cincinnati, Stephen Rowlete of Melbourne, Ky., and Robert Rowlette of Fredricksburg, Va.; two sisters, Sister Theodore “Teddy” Nolan, CDP, of Carrollton, Ky., and Patricia (William) O’Hearn of Wilder; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
