WARSAW, Ky. — James R. Perkins, 80, of Warsaw, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at his home.
Born April 21, 1932, he was a son of the late Stanley and Eura Perkins. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery. Mr. Perkins worked in the insurance business for over 50 years and was a member of the Paint Lick Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons, Russel Perkins of Warsaw, Ricky (Cindy) Perkins of Owenton, John (Dana) Perkins of Versailles, Jamie (Connie) Perkins of Sparta and Matt Tekulve of Fredericksburg, Texas; three daughters, Debbie Wash of Carrollton, Brenda Perkins of Cincinnati and Linda Bond of Sparta; three brothers, Robert Perkins of Florence, Ky., Charles Perkins of Sun City, Fla., and Normal Perkins of Corinth, Ky.; a sister, Rose Gunter of Sun City; his dear friend and companion, Terry Hagedorn; 22 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Ralph Perkins; a grandson, Lucas Mason; and a great-grandson, Tanner Bond.
