JCTC adult ed offering skills workshop

The Carroll County Adult Education program at Jefferson Community and Technical College, 324 Main St., Carrollton, is hosting a Job Skills 101 Workshop.

The class meets from 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Feb. 10 through March 5.

The course is free, but is limited to 10 participants. To register, call (502) 732-7102.

Topics to be discussed include resume building and writing cover letters; online job searching; application processing; interviewing skills; and a pre-employment assessment brushup.

Upon completion of the class, participants should have learned basic computer skills and have the knowledge to conduct a job search and a list of potential employment contacts.

They also will have a completed cover letter and resume. They also will receive a Kentucky Employability Certificate.
