In 1999, I was appointed to be District Court Judge for Carroll, Grant and Owen counties. This appointment was made by Gov. Patten to fill the vacancy when Judge Stephen Bates left to be our Circuit Court Judge.
For the past 11 years, I have been honored to serve as District Judge.
As you know, the district court handles a variety of cases, including but not limited to probate matters, small claims, traffic and misdemeanors and juvenile matters.
I have run for this office four times in the past 11 years. As of Jan. 26, 2010, it appears I will have no opposition in my next election.
I want to thank every citizen in the 15th Judicial District (Carroll, Grant and Owen counties) for allowing me to serve in a position that I love. We have attempted to run our court in a courteous and efficient manner. My staff and I appreciate your confidence in us and hope to continue to deserve your support.
Thank you and I remain.
