The Carroll County Lady Panthers suffered a 56-54 double overtime loss at Williamstown Saturday. The loss was only the seventh in 19 games this season for Carroll’s ladies.
Junior guard Hannah Devine led Carroll County with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Kyndal Curry contributed 12 points and pulled down seven caroms. Senior forward Tasha Hunter chipped in five points and grabbed six boards. Junior forward Nikki Hill cleared the boards with four rebounds and added a two-point basket. Freshmen guards Kelsey and Makenzie Ogden scored three points apiece.
The Lady Panthers return home for two contests this weekend. Both evenings will be varsity double headers. On Friday the girls will entertain Owen County in the 7:30 p.m. game after the boys’ varsities of the two schools meet at 6 p.m.
Owen County’s Lady Rebels bring a 13-4 record into the contest. Owen defeated the Lady Panthers 60-45 on Dec. 10 at Owenton. The Lady Rebels are scheduled to meet Williamstown on the road tomorrow night.
Carroll hosts Eminence in a 6 p.m. contest on Saturday. The Lady Panthers clawed the Lady Warriors for a 77-16 win on Jan. 13. Eminence owns one victory in 17 outings this season.
