Senior pitcher Mary Hawkins has led the Lady Panthers softball team to victory many times offensively and defensively, and her team didn’t let her down on senior night Thursday, April 30.

The Lady Panthers of Carroll County stared down the Lady Panthers of Frankfort and came off with a win, 8-3.

“Mary Hawkins pitched a complete game with nine strike outs and went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and a triple on senior night,” head coach Duke Boles said.

The Lady Panthers hit hard the first inning scoring four runs on six hits leaving two on base.  Frankfort had no answer for the hot bats of the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Panthers scored twice in the second, and twice in the fourth with Frankfort getting hot in the top of the fourth scoring three runs on two hits, taking advantage of two Lady Panther errors.

Neither team was able to score for the rest of the contest, but the Lady Panthers had what they wanted, a win on senior night.

Kayla Williamson 1-3, Mary Hawkins 3-4, Kelsey Ogden 1-3, Angel Robago 1-4, Beth Tuttle 1-4, Mackenzie Ogden 1-3.
