While the Lady Panthers racked up the hits, they were unable to translate them into runs, as Carroll lost to Walton-Verona, 8-2, Sunday in the first round of the NCKC Tournament.

Down 3-0 heading into the fourth inning, the Lady Panthers (3-10) matched the Lady Bearcats (16-5) in the fourth and fifth innings. Unfortunately, Carroll could not muster any more to make a comeback.

The Lady Panthers registered eight hits compared to the Lady Bearcats’ 10 hits.

Kayla Williamson led the team with three hits, including a double. Hannah McEndre hit two singles and scored a run; Mackenzie Ogden singled and scored a run; Kayley Perry hit a double; and Mackenzi Hawkins hit a single.
