Leaders want to beautify downtown

As lifelong members of the Carroll County area, it is our hope that Carrollton will continue to thrive, and more tourists and businesses will be attracted to our area.

We are members of the Young Leaders Institute, and as members we were required to do a community service project dealing with our county. The project that our group chose is “the beautification of downtown Carrollton.”

Carrollton is an amazing town, but it has come to our attention that the downtown area is in need of some beautification.

In conjunction with our project, we placed flyers around town encouraging everyone to keep the downtown area neat and clean. We also volunteered at Carrollton Manor planting flowers.

It is our wish that by writing this letter to express our concern, members of our community will also do their part in helping beautify downtown.

It could be as simple as making sure your business or home’s appearance is neat, or picking up any trash you see as you’re strolling down Main Street.

It will not only keep our town beautiful but will also attract tourists and businesses. We live in a great community.

Carroll County has a lot to offer, and we hope that you will join our cause and truly beautify downtown.
