Women in the Carroll County area soon will have access to cutting-edge technology that will help doctors detect breast cancer at its earliest stages.
Michael Kozar, chief executive officer at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, announced Monday that the hospital has acquired the FujiFilm Aspire HD-Plus Mammography unit, scheduled to arrive later this summer.
Kozar said the hospital also plans to renovate its mammography suite to make it more comfortable for patients who come for screenings.
