Mattingly, Nelson to wed Sept. 15

James and Carla Luhn of Scipio, Ind.  and James Mattingly of Carrollton, Ky. announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Erin Michelle Mattingly to Donald Gene Nelson II, son of Donald and Shelley Nelson of Carrollton.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Carroll County High School and a 2012 graduate of  Northern Kentucky University and is employed as a Sales Associate at Dress Barn in Carrollton. The groom is a 2009 graduate of Carroll County High School and is attending Gateway Community and Technical College in Covington, Ky. He is employed as a Pharmacy Technician for Kroger in Carrollton.

The bride-to-be has chosen Brittany Carter to be the maid-of-honor and Amy Girider, Hayley Franklin, Haley Jai Welch and Lacie Welch as  the bridesmaids. Megan Nelson and Emma Beverley will be the flower girls with Conner Ray Welch as ring bearer.

The groom has chosen Gene Hill as his best man; groomsmen will be Jarred Hill, Robert Gaddis; and Andy Little,  Branden Luhn and Rodney Carter have been chosen as ushers.

The ceremony will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at the General Butler Historic Turpin House with Daniel Mahoney officiating. The reception will immediately follow at the Old Reiffen Steakhouse in Carrollton. After a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the couple will reside in Carrollton. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
