Mayor thanks state for cleaning Hwy. 227

-A A +A

If you have driven on Hwy. 227 from Highland Avenue to Gap Hill recently, you will notice that the local state highway crew cleaned the median and removed all of the loose concrete.  This is something that had been needed for some time, and I thank them for their prompt attention to this matter.

So many times public works employees, state and local, are taken for granted and no one thanks them for the important work they are responsible for.  So if you see a state or local public works or highway employee, just say, “Thank you for your contribution to our community.”

Gene McMurry,

Carrollton Mayor
