I want to thank everybody who either attended or donated to my autism awareness/spaghetti meal April 29.
Through the meal, the silent auction items and desserts helped raise $1,501.
There were some great people helping in the kitchen, serving food and collecting the money. I am very grateful to my church, First Baptist.
Since 2008 I have been able to raise $10,001. I consider myself the army of one. The more understanding of autism that takes place, the better life is.
All of the profits have gone to Michala Riggle, a 15-year-old girl from Louisville. She plans to build a state of the art Autism Treatment and Research Center in Louisville.
Michala’s focus for her project is her own brother, Evan.
