Only a month-and-a-half into 2017 and the Carrollton Police Department is already seeing a rise in its methamphetamine cases.
Since Jan. 1, the department has investigated eight possession and four trafficking cases of methamphetamine, CPD Officer Tim Gividen said. The department has confiscated 40.78 grams of the drug so far this year. In all of 2016, the department confiscated 56.34 grams.
