Trimble library to host second Job Fair

Trimble County Public Library is hosting a second Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8.

The event is organized by the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, a Kentuckiana Works One-Stop Partner.

Representatives from employers will interview job applicants during the fair, which is free and open to the public. Applicants should bring a copy of their updated resumés and be sure to dress appropriately for interviews.

For more information, call the library at (502) 255-7362.

Double-header aims to raise cancer funds

Giving to Relay for Life will be as easy as buying a ticket for the Feb. 5 double-header against North Oldham.

Trimble County High School Athletics will donate $1 of every paid admission to the “Nothin’ but a Cure” game for the Lady Raider’s Relay team. Relay raises funds for the American Cancer Society.

Cancer survivors are invited to attend, and a memorial list of those who have lost their battles with cancer will be read between the girls’ and boys’ basketball games.

To have someone included in the memorial list, or for more information, call Head Coach Kerrie Stewart at the high school, (502) 255-5100, Ext. 2002.

Also, pink “Trimble County Basketball, Nothin’ but a Cure” T-shirts will be on sale for $10 each. For each shirt sold, $5 will be donated to cancer research.

Farmers Bank of Milton and Bedford Loan and Deposit have pledged to donate money based on points scored by the Trimble teams.
