No makeup days set

for school year – yet

Superintendent Marcia Haney-Dunaway said Friday that Trimble County Schools have missed 10 days so far this year because of inclement weather.

The last day of school is now set at Friday, June 4. That date would change if additional days are missed, she said. So far, no makeup days have been scheduled.

LG&E to conduct

periodic steam ‘blows’

The Trimble County 2 Generating Unit will be conducting steam “blows” intermittently for 24 calendar days starting between March 2-6. The process cleans the internal portions of the major boiler steam piping. Silencers have been installed, but there may be increased noise for neighboring residents. The procedure is a necessary part of preparations to put the generating unit online and in operation later this summer.
