Carroll County Sheriff’s Department arrested two people involved in an alleged check-fraud scam.
Constance Marie Pikaart, 23, and Timothy Ray Perkins, 31, were arrested Nov. 10; both were lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center and later released on $5,000 full-cash bonds each.
According to court records, Pikaart allegedly attempted to cash a forged check at the Quick Money pawn shop, 1417 Highland Ave., Carrollton. Deputy Jim Hamilton said Pikaart also allegedly opened an account at US Bank at 416 Highland Ave., using another forged check.
