Despite weather-related and unexpected setbacks, the old firehouse project continues to make some headway.
On Oct. 16, the Carrollton City Council opened bids for the firehouse wall stabilization project on Court Street.
Council received four bids, and following an executive session, unanimously voted to award the contract to low-bidder Brasch & Barry General Contractors Inc. of Carrollton for $23,572. All of the council members except for Councilman Adam Raker were present for the vote.
