Outpouring provides food for animals

-A A +A

Editor:

A few months ago I had the pleasure of waiting on some of the ladies that work for Carroll County Animal Support. I enjoyed talking to them about all the hard work they were doing to help the animals. Their work included helping with the rescue of the animals from Henry County.

I decided to start collecting donations for the dogs that were rescued. Immediately I received an outpouring of donations from the employees of Down On Main Street and also some of my guests who came in for dinner.

My goal was to get a few supplies, but after speaking briefly with Tammy Crawford. She informed me they needed cans of Pedigree dog food.

So, thanks to all of you who made a monetary donation, we gave them over 60 cans of food. I would like to personally thank Rhonda, Junie, Rylee, Dewayne, Loretto, Devin, Lauren, James, Tiffany, Christie, Karla, Troy and Jan, Jayme, Paul, Jimmy and Bob, Kevin, Daniel, Donna and Lynn, and Wendy and Colby for your generosity and your donations. Your generous donations exceeded my expectations and they went to a cause that is very close to my heart.

I also want to thank Tammy, Sherry, Phyllis, Rhonda, Cheri and Molly and all the rest of you who give so much of your time and energy to these abused and neglected animals.
