The Carroll County Panthers snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 64-59 win over Sunland Baptist Academy from the Bahamas during the Sunshine Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Dec. 30. Will Yager scored a season high 29 points to lead the Panthers. D.C. Craig and Andy Sisenstein added 13 apiece to contribute to the win.

The Panthers had previously dropped games to Hudson, Fla., 73-69; and Sullivan Central, of Tennessee, 76-44, during the Florida tournament.

Carroll County returned to Kentucky late last week. The Panthers were back in action Saturday at Owenton, falling 39-33 to the Owen County Rebels. Yager with 16 points was the only Panther to score in double figures.

The Panthers hosted Henry County Tuesday. Results of that contest were not available at press time.
