Carroll County Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson joined Prestonville Mayor Robert “Spike” Barnes Saturday in dedicating the city’s park, which has been under construction for more than a year. The county and city have worked together to “provide a place for children to have things to do and play and be safe,” Tomlinson said. Barnes thanked the county for its assistance saying the city could not have completed the park without the assistance of fiscal court. Saturday’s Prestonville Community Day garnered support from the Calvary Full Gospel Church and Bimp McAllister, which joined in sponsoring the event.
