Readers on vacation - June 29, 2011

Mark and Lisa Connolly took their son Logan Allen and his friend Raven Labrada to Charleston, S.C. June 9. While there, they went to Folly Beach and took a picture with The News-Democrat.

Debbie Knotts Thaman hosted the annual girls weekend getaway at her Keewee lake house in South Carolina. In attendance were, front row: Melinda Grugin Poindexter, Angie Wheeler McMahan, Sue Richmond Marsh and Jama Wilson Snyder. Back row: Debbie Knotts Thaman, Susan Hill Dapron, Janet Hill Blythe, Karen Conway McCarty, Michelle McMahan Marsh, Malinda Shepherd and Jana Reed Mefford. The weekend consisted of great food, cards and bunko, movies, boating, reminiscing of old times and, of course, reading The News-Democrat.
