Current eighth=grade parents and students will meet with the guidance counselor on Thursday, March 3 at 5 p.m. The meeting will take place in the CCHS cafeteria.
This seminar will provide information and materials to assist both parents and students as they plan for the next school year. Everyone will receive a 2011-12 Course Registration Guide, explaining course offerings, prerequisites and suggested elective courses. They will be given information concerning graduation requirements, technical course offerings and career clusters/majors available at CCHS. It is important that everyone understand the connection between their current education and the requirements for post secondary opportunities and workforce training.
Additionally, there will be another opportunity where parents can come to CCHS to signup for classes. On Thursday, March 24, parents can come to the CCHS cafeteria and review their child’s schedule with the guidance counselor anytime from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. They will also be hosting a spring scheduling and report card conferences on Thursday, March 24, for current high school students, from 3:15 -6 p.m. Parents will review a copy of their child’s report card, Think-Link test results and a computerized copy of their child’s 2011-12 schedule will be available. Parents of current 12th graders will also be able to pick up their child’s report card.
