Relay team to hold 5K run/walk

Carroll County Relay For Life Team Robbins will be kicking off its 2013 fundraising campaign with a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the back entrance of General Butler State Resort Park, near the stone shelter.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m  Registration fee the day of the race is $20, but if you would like to pre-register please contact Haley Franklin at (502) 525-3571 or hayleyfranklin@gmail.com and receive a discounted registration fee of $15.

The first 100 participants will receive a participation gift.  First, second and third place finishers will receive award in all age categories. There will also be an award for the overall winner. Age categories are as follows:  14 and under, 15-19 yrs., 20-29 yrs., 30-39 yrs., 40-49 yrs., 50-50 yrs., 60-69 yrs., and 70 and up. 

All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Carroll County Relay For Life.  Come out and join the fun whether you are a runner, walker or supporter.  Help us fight the dreaded disease of Cancer.
