Need some holiday decorating ideas? You might want to check out the 2008 Christmas Home Tour this weekend, featuring seven local homes and businesses decked out for Christmas.

The holiday event is 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. Tickets are $5 each, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society through the Carroll County Middle School Relay for Life team. Participants must present their tickets for admittance into each location.

This is the second year the team has sponsored the event. “We were very successful last year,” said event chairwoman Vicki Sampson. “We raised $300, and we hope to double that figure this year.”

Tickets are on sale at the Middle School on Fifth Street, as well as at First National Bank, US Bank, Carrollton Federal Bank, The Cutting Edge in Park Lanes Shopping Center, Todd Grace Farm Bureau Insurance, Bartley Real Estate and The Blossom Shop.

Sites on the tour include the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Blythe, 680 Whippoorwill Drive in Perry Park; Mr. and Mrs. Kanute Rarey, 15 Spring Meadow, Hunters Ridge, Carrollton; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Marsh, 845 Kings Ridge Road; and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Goff, 1550 Kings Ridge Road.
