Carroll County High School students in Mr. Paul Stone’s environmental science class recently studied how scientists study space, the tools they use, how to design an experiment and aerodynamics. Students completed a rocket kit, but had to make at least one modification, such as adding or reducing weight, lengthening or shortening the rocket, or modifying the fins or parachute. Students then tested their design and went back to the classroom to reflect on the process and the outcome.
