Ruby Katherine Leach, 87

CARROLLTON, Ky. -  Ruby Katherine (Simmons) Leach, 87, of Carrollton died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 13, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Samuel Grathler officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

Mrs. Leach was born Feb. 14, 1921, in Carroll County to the late Hobert and Grace (O’Neal) Simmons.

She was a housewife and a member of the First Apostolic Church of Carrollton.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda (Eddie) Harsin of Ghent, Ky.; a brother, Orville Jay Simmons of Carrollton;  a niece, Theresa Lewellyn of Carrollton; and a granddaughter, Rhonda Weaver of Woodridge, Ill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Leach in 1975; an infant brother; and an infant sister.

Pallbearers were Alan Harsin, Rhonda Weaver, Stephen Weaver, David Downey, Wesley Day and Devon Ellison.
