Salt supplies remain extremely low for Carroll County and the city of Carrollton after the latest storm system brought a mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow to the Ohio River Valley.
For Carroll County, supplies are at about 50 to 60 tons after treating roads the past few days, Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson said Tuesday.
The county has salt ordered and promises for delivery that simply are not happening, he said. Tomlinson was told that he would receive 150 tons Tuesday, but nothing showed up.
