Sanders man found after 9-hour search

A Valley Haven Nursing Home resident who had walked away from the facility was found by a member of the Sanders Fire Department on June 3. The 71-year-old man was found unharmed.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Clay Cable said the man left Valley Haven at approximately 11:30 a.m., and Clay was dispatched to Sanders at 1 p.m. He conducted an immediate search of the area and then asked Carroll County Rescue and Sanders Fire Department to respond.
