Schools set SBDM council elections

The election for parent members of the 2010-11 Bedford Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council is 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, May 13, in the school lobby. Candidates are Tony Walker, Leigh Ralston, Stacey Melvin and John Ogburn.

At Milton Elementary School, the SBDM Council election for parent members on the Milton Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council is Monday, May 17. Ballots will be available at the school; parents must stop in the school office during the school day to vote. Ballots received by mail will not be counted. The MES PTO will tally the votes during its meeting at 6:30 p.m. that day.

Nominations for parent members on the Trimble County Middle School SBDM are due by 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 21. Voting is set for Tuesday, May 27, starting when school begins and extending through the TCMS band concert at 7 p.m. that night.

Trimble County High School will elect its’ two parent members to the SBDM in an election from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 21, at the high school office.

Written nominations will be accepted from Monday, May 17, until 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, in the office. A list of criteria required for a nominee is included on the nomination form, which also is available at the school or via e-mail.
