Scouts to collect food Saturday

The Scouting for Food pickup is Saturday, Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. This past Saturday, we had more than 90 people come out to participate with the first phase of the 2011 Scouting For Food effort. These volunteers distributed more than 1,500 flyers throughout the city and some outlying areas (i.e. Hwy. 36 to Hunters Ridge, M&T Road, Indians Hills) – a big thanks to everyone that came out to help. 

This Saturday many of these volunteers along with several new ones will again hit the streets to retrieve the food that citizens contribute to the effort. Please have your donation in a visible location at the front of your property. Volunteers will be asked to knock on doors to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate.
