Last week Carroll County High School was abuzz with activities every day leading up to the powder puff football game on Thursday evening and the “big game” on Friday night.

Freshman girls played the juniors and the sophomores played the seniors for the elimination games and then the juniors took on the seniors for the final game and bragging rights.

The juniors prevailed over the freshman in the opening game and the seniors beat the sophomores to set up a junior/senior final game.

The juniors were able to score first in the final game of the evening, but the seniors were not going down with a hard-hitting fight.  Keshia Henderson put her team on her back and willed herself into the end zone to tie up the game.

The seniors went on to win the match after sneaking one across for a two-point conversion.  The final score was 8-6, seniors.

Students then climbed into fire trucks, ambulances, mini vans and pick-up trucks and had a parade through town, raising the town with as much noise as they could make.

Thursday evening was capped off with a bonfire and music back by the baseball field.
