As the school year starts back up, the bright yellow school buses responsible for getting students to and from school also will join motorists on the highways in Carroll and Trimble counties.
Seventeen regular buses, three Head Start buses and a special education bus are responsible for transporting Carroll County students more than 1,012 miles per day, according to Nadena Mahoney, transportation director for Carroll County Schools.
“We travel the whole county,” Mahoney said.
