LOUISVILLE, Ky – Shirley Rodgers Roberts, 67, of Louisville died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at Baptist Hospital East.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Stoess Funeral Home, 6534 W. Highway 22, Crestwood, Ky., and Sunday Aug. 10 at the Crestwood Baptist Church with Rev. Key Chambers officiating. Burial was in the Floydsburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts was born Sept. 6, 1940 to the late Neville and Edith (Pyle) Rodgers.
She was a Colonel in the army reserve, a nurse for the Courier Journal, CSX railroad, and International Harvester, a member of Crestwood Baptist church, and a volunteer for the Ky. Center for the Arts.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry; two sons, Todd Luckey, and Mark Roberts; a daughter, Kimberly Bush (David); a step son, Mike Roberts; and two grandchildren, Rachael and David Bush Jr., two sisters, Nancy Rodgers (Jack Ramey), Linda Mand (Larry), and a brother, David Rodgers (Patsy).
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents.
