The Carrollton Police Department has began preparations for our 2010 Shop With A Cop program. This year will mark the tenth anniversary of the program and our goal is to provide for 100-plus children.

During the first nine years of the program we have provided for 566 children and spent $118,373.94.

In an effort to provide for 100-plus children, this year the police department is asking the community to consider us when disposing of their gently used clothing, shoes and toys of children from infant to five years old. This is the age range of children we shop for and the more that we are able to obtain from the community, the more we will be able to dedicate the money that we have to more children that we take and shop with. We can provide a receipt for tax purposes.

These items can be dropped off at the Carrollton Police Department at any time or can be given to any officer.

With the goal that we have set, we will be conducting numerous fund raisers during the upcoming year. We will continue to have our Poker Run, Trail Ride and other events.
