The Carroll County High School Panthers finished the regular season with a road loss at Owen County. On Thursday night, they returned to Owenton and came home with the 31st District championship.
The Panthers scored in the first five minutes and again late in the contest to come away with a 2-0 win. Josh McCarty netted both goals for Carroll County and Cody Damron stopped every shot Owen County sent his way to earn the shutout.
“This is 10 years worth of work,” Carroll County Head Boys Soccer Coach Ben Crutcher said.
