The Lady Panthers scored 10 runs in the second inning en route to a season-opening 15-4 win at Grant County Friday. Carroll County collected 14 hits in the win and were led by senior Kelsey Ogden, who hit two doubles and a single for seven RBIs.

Senior Kayla Williamson also had three hits and one RBI. Senior Michaela Culver hit two doubles, good for two RBIs, while freshman Houston Lindsay hit a single and a double for two RBIs. Freshman Haley Dermon got two hits and an RBI, freshman Jenah Roberts had one hit and one RBI and freshman Cheyenne Lawrence had one hit.

Culver earned the win on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings and striking out three batters. Lawrence came in for relief and struck out two batters.
