A 10-year-old Cartmell Elementary School student is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property and two counts of fourth-degree assault in connection with a pellet pistol allegedly fired on a school bus.
On Monday Feb. 22 at about 2:45 p.m. in the Cartmell Elementary School parking lot on the school bus, a 10-year-old allegedly shot the 10-year-old sitting with him in the side with an Airsoft pellet pistol, according to Carrollton Police Chief Mike Willhoite. He also allegedly shot another 10-year-old in the arm, the chief said.
