Kemper earns masters degree in education

Judy Lynn Kemper of Carrollton was among the 2011 January graduates at University of the Cumberlands who completed degrees during the fall semester of the 2010-11 academic year.

Kemper graduated with a Master of Arts in Education degree.

Goff earns spot on fall 2010 UK dean’s list

Jenna Michelle Goff, daughter of Greg and Michelle Goff of Carrollton maintained a 4.0 grade average and was placed on the Fall 2010 Dean’s List at the University of Kentucky. Jenna is a 2010 graduate of Carroll County High School.

Patel named to UK fall 2010 dean’s list

Priya Patel made the Dean’s list at University of Ky. for the fall 2010 semester. She is a 2010 graduate of Carroll County High School. Priya is the daughter Raj and Varsha Patel of Carrollton.

Fox accepts scholarship from Xavier University

Lacy Fox  of Florence, Ky. the daughter of Samantha and Brian Riley, and granddaughter of Harriet and Tony Colello of Worthville,  and the late Delmar and Lena Fox has accepted a Presidential Scholarship from Xavier University.

She will graduate from Lloyd Memorial High School in 2011, where she is currently active in tennis, National Honor Society, Spanish Club and is a Junior Statesman of America. She plans to major in natural sciences at Xavier. All incoming freshmen are evaluated for Xavier’s Trustee and Presidential Scholarships and the Dean’s and Schawe Awards.   

Boles named to dean’s list at Georgetown

Cody Arthur Boles, son of Duke Boles and Carrie Boles of Carrollton, has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2010 fall semester at Georgetown College, Provost/Dean of the College Dr. Rosemary Allen recently annouced. The Dean’s List honors undergraduate students who completed the semester with at least 12 hours and a 3.7 GPA.

Two named to dean’s list at Morehead State

Two Carrollton residents were named to the Morehead State University Dean’s List for the 2010 fall semester.

Sara Clifton and Rachel Hunt, both from Carrollton, received the honor from Morehead.

To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled on a full-time basis and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the current semester.
