Making improvements to the I-71 Corridor, from Louisville to the junction of I-75 in Boone County, will take a lot of time and a lot of money.
That was the basic thrust of an overview of a study being conducted by Qk4. The Frankfort engineering firm was hired earlier by Kentucky Connected, the six-county partnership established in 2012 to focus on regional economic development along the I-71 corridor. The study focused on safety and capacity issues along the 77-mile stretch of highway that slices through the southern portion of Carroll County.
