Editor:

On behalf of the staff and students at the Carroll County Area Technology Center, I would like to thank all of our community sponsors and participants for making our annual College and Career Day a huge success.

This year makes our third annual event and was held Friday Feb. 10 in celebration of Career and Technical Education Week. We had nearly 30 colleges, universities, technical schools, and career service representatives with us for our exciting day. It was a great opportunity for our students because of the generosity of our community.

They include: North American Stainless, Earl Floyd Ford, First National Bank, Mark Smith State Farm Insurance, Mark Bates, Kemper Construction, Carroll County Fiscal Court, Wattsy’s House of Iron, Kroger, Gallatin Steel, Cornerstone Floral and Gifts, Craig’s Rental Center, Walmart, Subway, Kentucky Community and Technical College-Louisville Tech Campus, Jefferson Community and Technical College Carrollton campus, Tulsa Welding School, Sullivan College of Tech and Design, ITT Tech, Galen College of Nursing, WYO Tech, Nashville Auto Diesel College, Southwestern/Lincoln College of Technology, National College, Ivy Tech, Gateway Community and Techincal College, Strayer University, Western Kentucky University, University of Kentucky, Beckfield College, Elite Welding Academy, Brown Mackie College, Spencerian College, Eastern Kentucky University, Northern Kentucky University, Art Institutes, Antonelli, Lincoln Tech Career Services, Gallatin Steel, Adecco Employment Services, Lincoln Tech Auto Workshop, DJ Carroll  of Easy Pro Property Services and Kentucky State University.
