Suspect sought in Milton armed robbery

Kentucky State Police released surveillance photos of a man suspected of robbing a clerk at the Milton Discount Tobacco store about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 27.

According to Trimble County Sheriff Tim Coons, police are looking for a white male, age unknown, 5 feet, 7-8 inches tall, with short brown hair, a brown mustache and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, a denim jacket and a dark-colored toboggan.

Coons said an employee of the store, located just off U.S. 421 North on Coopers Bottom Road next to the Milton-Madison Bridge,  told police that a man brandishing a handgun entered the store and demanded money. He said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and no one was injured.

The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
