Twelve aspiring entrepreneurs attended the first session of the Rekindle
Micro-Enterprise Training Program July 10 at Carroll County Public Library.
Greg Goff, president of the First National Bank of Carrollton, spoke to the
first session on what a banker is looking for when a business applies
for a commercial loan, and the differences between a community bank and a regional or national bank. Before applying for a loan, he encouraged the Rekindle participants to develop a business plan, demonstrate knowledge of the market and industry, make sure to have equity in business and/or other sources of collateral for the loan and to check personal credit report before visiting the bank at www.annualcreditreport.com.
