First-year special education teacher David Craig won a $500 grant from McDonald’s to be used for technology in his classroom at Carroll County Middle School.  Craig was presented with the check by Grant Groen, a McDonald’s franchise owner.

“It is an honor to do something to help the students and families of Carroll County Middle School,” Groen said.

Craig applied for the grant so that CCMS can purchase a mobile voice amplification system for teacher and student use. The system will be used in a pilot classroom to see if the technology should be expanded throughout the school.

“I am very excited that he is one of ten people in the state of Kentucky who received this,” said Principal Dana Oak.  “It will be a very valuable tool to help our students.”
