Tearin’ down the house

Carrollton Public Works on Thursday razed the city-owned house at 209 Main St. The Carrollton Fire Department was on scene to surpress the dust and debris to keep it from blowing onto the homes of nearby residents. The city, under former mayor Dwight Louden, bought the property in April 2010 with the intent to use the land for part of a planned river walk.
