Technical school to hold open house

Kentucky Tech Carroll County Area Technology Center will hold its annual open house Thursday, Dec. 16 from 3-8 p.m. 

Students from Carroll, Gallatin, Owen and Trimble counties will compete in technical skills and leadership events such as:  accounting, business calculations, desktop publishing, future business leader, nursing assisting, medical photography, forensic medicine, medical reading, career health display, prepared and impromptu speaking, quiz bowl, job skill demonstration, wall frame construction, and other related auto tech, chemical tech, industrial maintenance, construction carpentry, welding, health science and office technology events.  Winners of these competitions will go on to represent CCATC and compete at the regional, state and national levels. 

The community is welcome to come observe students as they compete in their respective events.

The open house will be held by Future Business Leaders of America, Health Occupations Students of America and SkillsUSA.
