Local authorities are on the lookout for burglars who hauled 1,501 new catalytic converters out of a local warehouse last week.
Carroll County Sheriff Ben Smith said the burglary was reported Friday at Hunters Heights LLC Warehousing, formerly Ameriform Plant on Hunters Heights Road off of State Hwy. 36 West. He said it is unclear when the theft took place.
Oak Properties LLC and M&M Inc. own the building, according to Bob Parker, one of the partners. Arvin Sango, a plant in Madison, Ind., rents a portion of the facility for storage.
